Commercial mechanics

How the commercial side works.

The practical answers, plainly. Your written Partner Agreement is the contractual source of truth.

01

Registered opportunities

You register client opportunities with MapsExperts. Registered opportunities and client relationships are protected under the Partner Agreement, which sets out the registration rules.

02

Commercial structure

Commercial structure can vary by engagement. Depending on the setup, contracting and invoicing may be handled by MapsExperts or through you.

03

Pricing

You lead pricing and negotiation within the agreed commercial framework. MapsExperts supports you with pricing calculations and proposals.

04

Recurring compensation

You earn recurring compensation from active registered clients, subject to the renewal rules in your Partner Agreement.

05

Renewals

Compensation continues through the client's current renewal period, even if your Partner Agreement ends during that period. At renewal, it continues into the renewed term if you have an active Partner Agreement and take part in the renewal.

06

Written agreement

Every partnership is governed by a written Partner Agreement with Maplify GmbH, Vienna, Austria. MapsExperts is a brand of Maplify GmbH.

You work as an independent partner, not as an employee.

Scope can grow

Room to grow, earned through performance.

Scope can grow with performance and market needs, subject to individual agreement.

  1. 01

    Client portfolio

Every partnership starts with the clients you develop and keep active.

  2. 02

    Exclusive market responsibility

Strong performance can lead to exclusive responsibility for an agreed market — making you the sole Commercial Partner for that market.

  3. 03

    Multi-market scope

Additional markets or countries, agreed individually.

  4. 04

    Local partner coordination

Coordinating local partner activity in markets you help to develop.

No preset earnings ceiling. Your recurring compensation grows with the active client portfolio you build.

Nothing here is automatic. Territory, exclusivity and broader scope are agreed individually. They aren't promotions or job titles.

Partner fit

Who this partnership is for.

Relationships and commercial ownership matter more than location-management experience.

Who this is for

  • Experienced B2B sales professionals
  • Consultants and advisors who work with multi-location businesses
  • Industry specialists in franchise, retail, hospitality, healthcare, automotive or other multi-location sectors

  • People comfortable owning commercial conversations through to signature

Probably not for you if

  • You only want to pass on a referral and step away
  • You don't want to own the commercial follow-through
  • You're looking for a salaried role: this is an independent partnership

FAQ

Straight answers before you apply.

Commercial details are agreed in the Partner Agreement. These answers explain how the model works.

How does recurring compensation work?

You earn recurring compensation for each active client you registered and brought in. Under the standard Commercial Partner model, it combines a share of the MapsExperts net price with most of the margin between that net price and the price agreed with the client.

Your Partner Agreement sets the exact terms.

How long does recurring compensation continue?

For as long as the client stays active. If your Partner Agreement ends, compensation for a client continues through that client's current renewal period. At renewal, it continues into the renewed term if you have an active Partner Agreement and take part in the renewal.

Who owns the client relationship?

You own and develop the commercial relationship with the client. MapsExperts supports presales and then handles the agreed onboarding and delivery scope behind you.

Who contracts with the client?

It depends on the engagement. Depending on the setup, contracting and invoicing may be handled by MapsExperts or through you. We agree the structure for each engagement.

How are opportunities and clients protected?

Registered opportunities and client relationships are protected under the Partner Agreement. The exact registration and protection rules are agreed as part of the partnership setup.

Can I set the client price?

Yes, within the agreed commercial framework. You lead pricing and negotiation. The calculator's suggested price reflects typical positioning for each volume tier, and MapsExperts supports you with pricing calculations and proposals.

Is there an earnings ceiling?

There is no preset overall earnings ceiling. Your recurring compensation grows with the active client portfolio you build. Nothing is guaranteed: it depends on the clients you win and keep.

Is territory exclusivity automatic?

No. Territorial responsibility and exclusivity are performance-based and agreed individually. Strong, consistent execution can lead to broader market responsibility and additional countries, subject to individual agreement.

Can I sell Hybrid?

Yes. Hybrid delivery is available where appropriate and is scoped individually, based on the delivery configuration and operational scope. There is no standard Hybrid rate in the calculator.

Can I sell API / Location Technology?

Yes. You can bring API and location-technology opportunities, for example around Google Maps Platform, Google Cloud, Mapbox or TomTom. Compensation and economics for these deals are agreed individually; the standard calculator model doesn't apply.

What happens above the enterprise thresholds?

Above 1,000 locations per client for Managed Service, or 5,000 for Platform, pricing and commercial terms are agreed individually. The calculator shows a custom-pricing state instead of a standard figure.

Is this employment?

No. You work as an independent Commercial Partner under a written Partner Agreement with Maplify GmbH. It's a commercial partnership, not a salaried role.

How does the calculator work?

You choose an offer, locations per client, a selling price and the number of active clients. The calculator applies the standard Commercial Partner model to MapsExperts' volume-tier pricing and shows an illustrative monthly figure and its annual equivalent.

Volume tiers price the whole client, so adding one location can lower the figure when a client moves into a lower price tier. Results are illustrative, not guaranteed.

Do I need location-management experience?

No. It's useful, but what matters more is the ability to reach decision-makers, develop opportunities and lead commercial conversations. MapsExperts supports the specialist product and technical side.

Who delivers after the contract is signed?

MapsExperts delivers the specialist product, onboarding and ongoing operational work defined in the client scope. You don't need to build a location-management delivery team first.
